Why do we name it Peach Hill Resort?
We don't have any peach trees in the resort, only a Mother Peach. My mom is the daughter of a fisherman whose ancestors were refugees from China. My dad was a Chinese mining engineer from Malaysia. They both decided to start their own business, a minimart and a hotel (26 rooms) in 1991. At that time, there were only a few hotels in Phuket. Despite having no knowledge of the hotel business, they managed to run the hotel smoothly. They treated all clients as if they were family guests and were able to remember every client in the hotel. The second generation has graduated abroad and has acquired hotel management knowledge from Switzerland. We have expanded the hotel from 26 rooms to 157 rooms in 1995. As our land is on a hillside, we have designed our hotel building's architecture to be in harmony with nature and have minimal impact on the environment. We also utilize solar cells for the boiler, further enhancing our commitment to being an eco-friendly resort.
Sustainable and Low Carbon Resort
Our location is in the heart of Kata Center, nestled between Kata Beach and Karon Beach, both of which are a mere 300-400 meters away. Within our resort, we boast three swimming pools, each offering a unique atmosphere and surrounded by trees and the majestic Nak-kerd mountain. We have dedicated an entire rai of land to preserve the green zone, which includes large trees and promotes the conservation of animals and biodiversity. Maintaining these trees within the resort area has required significant effort. One notable advantage of our location is that the temperature within the hotel is consistently cooler than outside, allowing guests to enjoy a refreshing and pleasant breeze.
Farm to table and Zero Waste Project
Furthermore, we take pride in cultivating our own pesticide-free vegetables and fruits on-site. Through our Zero Waste project, all organic waste is meticulously composted to create nutrient-rich soil. Additionally, our wastewater undergoes thorough treatment before being utilized in our gardens. After undergoing the infiltration process, it becomes groundwater, which serves various purposes within the resort. As part of our commitment to sustainability, in 2019, we initiated a plan to replace 20% of our energy consumption with clean solar energy through rooftop installations. This endeavor is aimed at reducing our carbon footprint and contributing to the fight against climate change. We actively encourage our guests to partake in our sustainable practices and join us on this journey
